WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY AT THE ROMAN BATHS
Exchanging vows beside 2,000-year-old steaming waters is one of the most unforgettable ways to get married anywhere in the world. As a local wedding photographer, capturing a wedding at The Roman Baths is always a highlight—it offers dramatic lighting, historic atmospheric depth, and a sense of romance that no other venue can match.
SUNRISE & SUNSET CEREMONIES
Because the venue remains open to the public during the day, ceremonies at the Roman Baths take place either at sunrise before opening or twilight after closing.
Atmosphere & Light: Twilight ceremonies offer atmospheric, torch-lit lighting with steam rising off the Great Bath. Sunrise ceremonies, provide soft, morning light.
Photography Consideration: Morning sessions can be a little rushed for post ceremony photography due to public access from 9:00am in the summer and 9:30 in all the other seasons.
Watch the Steam: On cooler darker evenings, steam off the Great Bath adds a misty haze to photos. Winter "sunset" weddings are basically pitch black.
